New ICRP Draft Report Ready for Consultation

The work of the ICRP Task Group on Application of the Commission’s Recommendations for the Protection of People in Emergency Exposure Situations is nearing completion. This draft, which is now posted on the ICRP Web Site for public consultation, discusses such issues as the setting and use of reference levels, optimisation with respect to protective measures, and the interface with the rehabilitation phase following an emergency. Another Task Group is currently developing a companion document concerning radiological protection during that phase; that document will soon be posted here for consultation.

ICRP would much appreciate your views on this draft report. To provide your comments, please go to the ICRP Consultation Comments page. In order for ICRP to be able to take your comments into account, the comments must be submitted no later than Friday 8 August.
