Season's Greetings from Renate Czarwinski, IRPA President

Dear Radiation Protection Professionals, Dear colleagues,

It is once again that time of year where for many families Christmas celebrations are going on, and soon we will start the challenging New Year 2014. IRPA and its members have had an interesting and active year behind us, where we all started in a new era of collaborative work between radiation protection practitioners worldwide. I can assure you that on many occasions the importance of
our work was recognized.

For our future effective work as the international voice of the radiation protection profession the Executive Council of IRPA has established new commissions, Task Groups and committees, to which the Associated Societies have nominated experts as members. For the time being this nomination process is finished, and the nominated members will soon receive news for the way forward from the responsible chair.

I wish all of us every success in our work towards ensuring the safety and security of all activities involving ionizing radiation.

Now, I would like to express my sincere thanks for your engagement to support the activities of IRPA, which are necessary steps for strengthening IRPA as the worldwide Radiation Protection NGO.

I send you and your families the best compliments of the season, combined with my best wishes for health, happiness and many successes in the Year 2014.

Kind regards
Renate Czarwinski
IRPA President
