IAEA Director General Amano

IRPA is very sad to note the passing of IAEA Director General Amano. Mr Amano was very supportive of cooperation between IAEA and many other international organisations, including IRPA, in the field of radiation protection and safety. We were very pleased that Mr Amano was able to give the Opening Welcome Address at our last IRPA International Congress in Cape Town in May 2016. We send our condolences to his family and to the Agency, and give thanks for all his efforts in support of radiation safety.
